No Bad Days - Kyle

No Bad Days is a sailboat that was my home.  Now I sail a smart little touring kayak named Vagabunda.

We used to reside on the Pacific ocean in and around Dana Point California (near Los Angeles...). At some point I planned to sail to Mexico and make an extended cruise in the Sea of Cortez.  Then? Maybe down  through the Panama canal and on to the Bahamas. Things changed in early 2012 when my mom died and I spent a year in Utah helping my dad get along.  I sold No Bad Days  and I settled back into my house in Salt lake City, close to family and friends.  Now I am striving to live an uber-frugal,  deliberate and simple life, making as little impact on the earth as possible,  being an urban homesteader,  growing as much of my own food as possible, and buying what little else I need as local as is possible. (Except coffee. I can't grow it here, and I don't think I will ever give that up, non-local or not.)   I intend to spend the non-growing seasons kayak camping in either Baja or Bahamas.

When all this craziness started, I had just turned 51. I needed to have a mid life crisis and since I dont like sports cars and I am too cheap to take a mistress, the only thing that seemed to make any sense at all was to quit my job and go live on a boat!

Please take a gander at the blog postings. I have told random bits of the story about all this, some in order as it happened, some posted as "flashbacks" not in any real order. Sorry if it is a bit confusing but at least I tried to mention the dates in the blog post titles. thanks for dropping in and I hope to see or hear from you soon.

Cheers and fair winds to you all

Kyle
